Facilities at Copley Mill House

Copley Mill House is a retirement living scheme. It consists of 25 self-contained one-bedroom flats, two two-bedroom flats and one three-bedroom flat. Flats benefit from their own entrance accessed off an internal corridor for added security.

  • A guest suite for visitors (available for a small fee)

  • A communal boiler means residents don’t have to worry about arranging their own gas provider. Instead there is a weekly charge for heating and hot water (on top of rent)
  • Communal cleaners and ground maintenance
  • Scooter storage (available for a small fee)

Supporting you

We support residents in all of our retirement living schemes to continue living independently. This support includes:

  • A community alarm service for out of hours support (managed 24/7)
  • Housing-related support to help you remain independent at home - our local team can signpost you to other agencies and support systems to help maintain your independence
  • Effective housing management and tenancy sustainment services – our team can mediate between Stonewater if you have any problems (e.g. with your rent or with neighbours)
  • Low-level support services to improve your health and wellbeing
  • Health and safety building checks

Local area

Copley Mill House is located within the delightful Copley village - a quiet, secluded village situated alongside the River Calder. The scheme is close to local amenities including a post office and chemist, which are only a five-minute bus ride away. Local woodland and canal walks are on the doorstep.

The scheme is less than two miles from Halifax town centre and the market town of Sowerby Bridge - a ten-minute bus ride away, where you’ll find supermarkets, independent shops and places to eat.

The bus service is excellent, with stops less than 50 yards from the scheme.
