Lakeside Court is a retirement living scheme situated in the popular district of Hamden Park in Eastbourne. The scheme consists of 45 generously sized one-bedroom self-contained apartments, accommodating one or two people. There are also a few studio apartments.

- A communal boiler so residents don’t have to arrange their own gas provider - instead there is a weekly charge for heating and hot water (within the weekly service charge)

We support residents in all of our retirement living schemes to continue living independently. This support includes:
- A community alarm service for out of hours support (managed 24/7)
- Housing-related support to help you remain independent at home - our local team can signpost you to other agencies and support systems to help maintain your independence
- Effective housing management and tenancy sustainment services – our team can mediate between Stonewater if you have any problems (e.g. with your rent or with neighbours)
- Low-level support services to improve your health and wellbeing
- Health and safety building checks

Local area
The scheme benefits from a convenient shopping area nearby, including a chemist and a doctors’ surgery. There is also a bus stop on the main road, just a short walk from the scheme. The bus can take you into Eastbourne town centre, which is approximately two miles away, where you’ll find a full range of shopping and leisure facilities.
The local train station is less than half a mile from the scheme, providing direct links to London. Eastbourne District Hospital is a quarter of a mile away.
