Windmill Court is a retirement living scheme of 66 self-contained, one-bedroom apartments. They all have one bedroom and their own entrance accessed from an internal corridor.

Local area

Across the road is Freshbrook village centre, comprising of a local pub serving good food, a Tesco with a post office within, a local community centre, a fish and chip shop, a chemist, a doctors' surgery, and a dentist. There is an Evangelical church just up the road.

The nearest hospital is The Great Western Hospital which is 8.1 miles from Windmill Court (but you can get a bus into town then another directly to the hospital).

Freshbrook surgery is in Freshbrook village centre, only a two-minute walk away.

The nearest train station is 3.9 miles away, which is an 11 minute drive. The scheme is situated on a major bus route, serviced every 20 minutes.

1.6 miles away is Lydiard park which is a beautiful historic estate on the western edge of Swindon, with the Palladian House, church, walled garden, hotel, restaurant and conference centre, set in 260 acres of parkland.

8.7 miles away is Coate Water - a country park situated not far from Swindon. The park is open all year round. It has a small café, children’s splash pool and play area, nature reserve and a miniature railway. 

1.5 miles away is the Link Centre leisure centre with a swimming pool, gym, ice rink and trampoline park.
