‘A Safe Place’ was launched to raise awareness of our Extended Domestic Abuse service and additional bed space available to key referrers in response to the increase in the need for support for those experiencing domestic abuse which was heightened by the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns. We knew it had to move quickly and with clarity to ensure the word is spread widely.
We worked closely with specialist teams across our organisation and with the team at BECG to curate three core campaign elements; creating factual content to help inform referrers, giving a voice to survivors of domestic abuse, and those working to support them.
A distinctive, familiar, inclusive campaign identity was created, and activity aligned with key awareness days and events with a full content suite to build external awareness of our specialist domestic abuse services and support and drive internal advocacy.
Campaign outputs included:
-
Videos featuring our team to highlight the services available
-
Targeted emails to key referrer groups
-
Survivor stories highlighting individual experiences
-
A support brochure for referrers
-
Campaign landing page
-
Suite of social assets and key social content messaging
-

BECG said; “It was fantastic to be able to support Stonewater in delivering such a powerful and poignant campaign to help support the needs of vulnerable people in a time of national crisis. Being shortlisted for three categories in the UK Content Awards takes the campaign one step further in raising more awareness and gives one more win in the fight to end domestic violence.”
We’re looking forward to joining the ceremony on the 15th July, and our fingers are tightly crossed for a win!
