Six hundred and forty properties in Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex and Berkshire have been transferred to Greenoak Housing Association from Stonewater.
Greenoak became a subsidiary of Stonewater Group at the end of 2022.
Greenoak will be responsible for providing housing management services to customers from this date with duties split between Stonewater specialist teams and the Greenoak Customer Experience Team where human contact is required or more appropriate.
Stonewater will continue to manage the maintenance of the homes and the plan is for the Greenoak Direct Services Team to take over responsibility for responsive repairs on a phased basis once resources are in place.
Marcus Canning, Interim Director at Greenoak, said: "From the outset it has always been the intention of the partnership between Greenoak and Stonewater to transfer these properties into our control. Residents will be minimally impacted and will benefit from the expertise and experience of two forward-thinking housing associations."
The partnership between Greenoak Housing Association and Stonewater Group will also deliver:
- a new national Centre of Excellence for zero carbon development and retrofit, which will pioneer exemplar projects, standards and processes to achieve genuine sustainability.
- the creation of a new ‘future-proof’ brand for selected developments, to accelerate the provision of energy efficient and sustainable homes.
- the expansion of direct service provision and apprenticeship opportunities through new pilot schemes to enhance asset management and support the development of much needed trades skills, particularly to drive delivery and operation of zero carbon projects.
