"Following Boris Johnson’s resignation as leader of the Conservative Party, we are pleased a new Prime Minister has been appointed and the Government can once again focus on the challenges facing the country during what will no doubt be a very difficult period.
Nicholas added: “Without any doubt, Liz Truss has a big job on her hands dealing with the cost-of-living crisis but I would urge her not to forget about the housing crisis and the importance of maintaining the supply of additional affordable housing. We hope now the leadership uncertainty has been resolved, the Prime Minister will be intent on delivering on her party’s manifesto commitments.
“We urge the Government to be mindful that solving the housing crisis requires effective, stable and continuous ministerial leadership. We hope for stability within the housing sector and support to deliver the government’s ambitious housing agenda."
