The regulator assesses all registered housing providers against a range of criteria, using the information to provide external regulation ratings for governance and financial viability, for which Stonewater has once again retained its top ratings G1 (governance) and V1 (financial viability).
The ratings are the highest available of four levels and demonstrate that Stonewater meets the governance requirements set by the regulator.
Stonewater, which has recently launched a Centre of Excellence for the social housing sector’s zero-carbon ambitions and published its Social Value Report, highlighting a value to the economy of its activities of over £28 million, was also recently shortlisted in the Affordable Housing Awards 2023 for both the Financial Inclusion Initiative and Campaign of the Year.
Nicholas Harris, Chief Executive of Stonewater, said: “In what continue to be challenging times for housing providers, it’s good to let our colleagues, partners and customers know that we have retained these judgements from the regulator and continue to be an adaptable and reliable organisation.
“The retainment of these top ratings is testament to the commitment and hard work of colleagues across the organisation and it is reassuring to know we continue to meet the highest possible standards of governance and financial viability.”
