Stonewater scoops top award for workplace learning

Leading social housing provider Stonewater has been named one of the top organisations for workplace learning in the world.

Date published: 25 March 2021

The business has been ranked among ‘The Top 15 Highest Performing Learning Departments’ by the international Learning and Performance Institute (LPI).

Stonewater appears in the ratings alongside high-profile multinationals such as Lego, Ricoh and River Island.

Throughout various organisational changes – including a merger to become Stonewater in 2015 – and despite the difficulties presented by the pandemic during the last 12 months, the team has proudly retained this annual accreditation - which it has held 17 years running.

LPI accreditation follows an independent, rigorous assessment process which examines all aspects of an organisation’s learning services.

Jenny Sawyer, Director of People, Culture and Change at Stonewater, said: “I’m so proud we’ve been recognised as one of the top learning and development teams, particularly with the challenges we’ve all faced during the past year’s pandemic.

“Our team works hard to deliver amazing results, motivated by a real desire to support our colleagues to be the best they can be.

“This award demonstrates how we continue to maintain our core high quality, tailored learning services at the same time as evolving our digital offer."

The LPI is the leading authority on workplace learning and development. Its accreditation scheme is the globally recognised quality mark for providers of learning products and services.

This latest accolade follows Stonewater achieving a one-star rating with Best Companies and featuring in its ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ list for the second consecutive year. Stonewater was also ranked by Best Companies as 67th in the best not-for-profit organisations and 24th in the best housing associations to work for.
