Stonewater is proud to have been shortlisted in all six categories they entered for this year’s Housing Digital Innovation Awards.

These awards specifically recognise the dedication, talent and drive of those who work tirelessly to make housing in the UK a place of continued innovation and excellence.

These awards highlight the fantastic work of colleagues driving real change for customers while establishing the leading social housing provider as an expert voice in the sector.

Recognising the great strides made in digital innovation, Stonewater has been shortlisted in the following categories:

  • Best use of data

Shortlisted for: Work around damp and mould, reacting to new legislation and heightened awareness. Stonewater’s data from the past four years, along with the new four-stage process to deal with cases, led to the provider setting up the Damp, Mould and Disrepair team to tackle this crucial issue.

  • Most innovative approach to tenant communications

Shortlisted for: The Customer Communications and Engagement team who, by seeing the opportunities and benefits for customers of combining engagement with comms, have embedded this approach across the business.

  • Most innovative approach to resident welfare

Shortlisted for: All the work done by the domestic abuse team and specifically the Safe Haven by the Sea report done by Sarah Pugh with Brighton & Hove City Council, which is already making waves for survivors locally, and a template for national change.

  • Most innovative partnership

Shortlisted for: The 10-year partnership with the charitable Longleigh Foundation, which was set up by Stonewater and continues to this day to improve social housing customers’ wellbeing and quality of life, giving them the opportunity to thrive.

  • Most innovative approach to culture and wellbeing

Shortlisted for: The People team, whose approach has transformed the organisation over the past five years, flexing policy around colleagues’ needs, as well as the business, to keep engagement and wellbeing at the top of Stonewater’s priorities.

  • Best sustainability innovation

Shortlisted for: Greenoak Centre of Excellence, the collaborative thought leadership initiative to identify and highlight the most effective routes for the housing sector to achieve a zero-carbon future.

Gareth Lloyd, Stonewater’s Chief Information and Transformation Officer, said: “I am delighted to see our colleagues’ dedication to digital innovation recognised in such a resounding way.

“Their hard work and talent help Stonewater drive innovative change that help us continually deliver for customers and set the benchmark for the wider sector.

“The six awards we have been shortlisted give a snapshot into how Stonewater is using data, sustainable technologies and modern communication methods as part of our mission to offer good quality homes and services for people whose needs are not met by the open market.

“I would like to congratulate everyone who has been shortlisted for an award and wish them the best of luck with judging.”
