Stonewater's all-female Treasury team has been shortlisted for Housing Heroes' Team of the Year.

The nomination is for the Housing Heroes Awards, organised by Inside Housing.

The five strong team has been recognised for their vital work towards Stonewater’s continued success and ensuring the long-term financial stability, strength and resilience to achieving its overarching vision.

Over the past year, the team has been supporting on the restructure of the Stonewater Group, negotiating and extending Stonewater’s revolving credit facilities as well as being integral in the process of bringing 550-home Greenoak Housing Association into the Stonewater Group in December 2022.

The five women – Isabelle Kirk, Elaine Lewis, Emily Murray, Lauren Fradgley and Anastasia Krassi – have been developed through internal recruitment and promotion, in what is typically a male-dominated profession.

Nicholas Harris, Chief Executive at Stonewater, said: "A lot has happened in recent years that could have destabilised our organisation and prevented us delivering on our values and business objectives, but with such an incredible team in place, we’ve been well positioned to go from strength to strength.

"Our fantastic Treasury team really do go above and beyond and show their passion for our customers and the sector. I’m really thrilled that they are being recognised by the Housing Heroes awards and wish the team all the very best of luck for the awards ceremony in June."

The 2023 Housing Heroes Awards will take place alongside the Women in Housing Awards as the opening ceremony at Housing 2023 in Manchester.

The events combine to celebrate the leaders, innovators and changemakers across the sector, championing the successes of women and sharing learning from teams and individuals within the housing sector.
